Jan. 13th, 2009 06:38 amSo this semester...
I've got an insane credit load that I don't know whether or not I'll survive, but I don't know how to lessen it either. My classes generally fall into 3 categories:
1) Must Take Now Not Offered Again (before I intend graduate) classes
EMEN 5620 Data Mining and Screening (for my six-sigma blackbelt)
APPM 4360 Complex Variables and Applications (technically offered again Spring '10 but I'd have to take it through the arts and science department and they're WEIRD. and I might manage to be graduated by then anyways)
2) Must take NOW (sequence issues)
EMEN 5040 Quality/Strategy and Value Creation (another six-sigma course)
MCEN 4085 ME Design Project 2 (second semester of year-long project)
3) Classes I need to take eventually and my friends are taking now and if I DO graduate in Dec. this is my last chance to take them.
MCEN 4228 Wind Energy (Tech Elective)
MCEN 4037 Measurements Lab
I suppose I COULD drop one or both of the classes in category 3, but they're so hard to get into, and if I can do this it will make graduating in December possible... And I'm not doing band this semester which should free up a lot of time. And my Dream Team is in Measurements with me (the ones I worked with who were AWESOME in Manufacturing last semester) now too, instead of being grouped with complete morons I don't know in a later semester.
In other news, I am theoretically still working at Joannes, but that'll be the first thing to go if I'm coming up short on time. My boss is an IDIOT - he scheduled me for 6AM today, but no one to open until 7 (I'm assuming, given the complete lack of people there when I was waiting around outside). And this isn't the first time he's done this. So I'll probably wander down there soon, enjoy working with Veronica (my fellow fabric-person), be grumpy at Perry (the aforementioned boss), and quit in a week or two when it gets overwhelmingly crazy.
