So I was at a meeting-people event here in Arizona, and a very friendly girl who makes costumes (LOTS of costumes) sat down and started chattering at me about anime/costumes/etc (she thought I was someone else...) and while I generaly am completely incapable of knowing what is going on in a conversation like that, she got EXTREMELY lucky, after a few seconds I realized she was talking about CardCaptors, and all of those years of running around with that rake handle and dressing up strangely and waving those cards around came in handy because I was actually able to hold my own in the conversation. Which I was proud of, if a little suprised. And she makes really nice costumes... I may have a new hobby to get into in my *free time*.
In other news, Arizona is not as unpleasantly hot as I thought it would be, but much shinier than I was expecting, the sun's not only brighter, but most things seem to be painted WHITE.

And I... well I wouldn't say I've been sucked into World of Warcraft (yet...) but I have been convinced to play and it's rather fun. I realized that I've been playing many parodies of WoW over the years and not knowing it.
